Across Europe – The European Investment Bank (EIB) agreed during its board meeting in Brussels yesterday (Tuesday, 6 February 2018) to invest £1.3 billion into the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project, increasing future EU emissions. The loan is one of the largest spendings of public money in the history of the bank, and is meant to help complete the construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), crossing most of Southern Europe. Asia – Tajikistan & Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan & Afghanistan – Direct work on the construction of a high-voltage regional power transmission line CASA-1000 is planned to be launched this year. Australia – Westbury, Northern Tasmania – Australian feed company, Ridley Corporation, says the construction of its new aqua feed mill in Westbury, northern Tasmania is finally underway, Danish fish feed group, BioMar, is also building a new aqua feed production factory in northern Tasmania. USA – Hutchinson County, SD – After running into roadblocks, the Hutchinson County Commission is moving forward with plans for a new courthouse — but at none of the previously considered sites. The new building will replace the 1881 facility, the state’s oldest courthouse still in use. The building received additions in 1888, 1934, 1967 and 1975. The middle section, which includes the courtroom, contains two stories. The east and west wings contain one story.
